Hello Hyattsville Ward 5,
I'm Kelson Nisbett and I am seeking to be your city councilman.
I am a proud resident of Hyattsville with 20 years of U.S. military experience, specializing in leadership and Space Operations. I have had the honor on working historic missions, including the first SpaceX launch and the final Space Shuttle launch from Cape Canaveral. I obtained my degree locally from the University of Maryland and I am dedicated to advancing safety, advocating for STEM education, and creating opportunities for all. With a background that includes an assignment at the Pentagon and service as a White House Intern, I bring a unique expertise and commitment to the Hyattsville City Council, Ward 5.
I envision a safer Hyattsville that embraces the future, but will always feel like home. I love this community and I want to see it thrive. Our best days are still ahead of us and together we can grow Hyattsville into an economic leader that is safe, affordable, and prosperous. I am running to serve the people of Ward 5. I am running to pursue the vision of a safer, stronger Hyattsville for all.
I like to spend my free time traveling, serving as a committee member for my local HOA, gardening, supporting local restaurants with my fiancée Ailee or walking our dog Eddy.
I am running because Hyattsville is my home and it is my duty to protect my home. I believe in the safety and prosperity that we can achieve together. I believe we can establish a vision that creates a thriving Hyattsville for generations to come. I believe this election will be the turning point for our future. However, I cannot do it alone. I am seeking your help, your support, and your commitment. I believe together we can build A Safer, Stronger Hyattsville for All.
